The fifth International Forum on Beidou Scale Application concluded successfully in Zhuzhou, Hunan, marking its largest edition yet in terms of activities, professional depth, and participation scope. A number of listed companies attended with their latest offerings, with many Hunan-based firms spotlighting their Beidou-related achievements, and some have already initiated their IPO processes.
Record-breaking event: The conference, held from September 15 to 16 under the theme 'Together with the World, Together with Beidou 鈥?Empowering the Globe,' attracted 7,026 attendees. The scale, depth, and reach of activities surpassed all previous editions. The forum included an opening ceremony, keynote speeches, thematic panel discussions, academic exchanges, and local specialty events, with 336 industry experts sharing cutting-edge insights.
The exhibition area spanned nearly 40,000 square meters, featuring three guest provinces (Shanghai, Guangdong, and Hubei), five pilot cities for Beidou scale application (Ningbo, Hangzhou, Jiujiang, Cangzhou, and Guangzhou), and 143 domestic and international enterprises. The event drew 170 international guests from 34 countries and regions, underscoring its global character.
The forum unveiled several major achievements, including the nation's first mandatory national standard for Beidou application in transportation, along with the 'Beidou Industry Development Research Report (2026),' 'Top Ten Cases of Beidou Scale Application (2026),' and 51 frontier innovations covering the entire industrial chain, from chip modules to terminal products, algorithms, and solutions. The event also announced winners of the Beidou spatiotemporal information competition and outstanding academic papers, showcasing the sector's innovative vitality.
In total, 41 industry-university-research cooperation projects were signed with combined investments of 5.54 billion yuan, spanning chip R&D, spatiotemporal data trading, and overseas expansion. Notably, four international cooperation projects accounted for 1.45 billion yuan, setting a new record.
Hunan, leveraging its core technology origins, has been deepening its focus on the Beidou sector. In 2025, the province's Beidou industry output reached 78.2 billion yuan, up 28.2% year-over-year, with over 550 related enterprises forming a complete industrial chain from satellite manufacturing to chip development and application. Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Yueyang were all selected as national pilot cities for Beidou scale application. As the host city, Zhuzhou is building an integrated 'satellite-chain-network-terminal-data' industrial system, housing 188 upstream and downstream enterprises and deploying 135 application scenarios, achieving full coverage across terrestrial, aerial, and maritime domains. In 2025, the city's Beidou spatiotemporal information cluster output hit 22.96 billion yuan, earning provincial recognition as an advanced manufacturing cluster.
Listed companies showcase innovations, with multiple global debuts: Many listed firms presented important products and results at the summit. Unistrong (002383.SZ) displayed its full product line, including over 60 products and solutions in core components, surveying, machine control, precision agriculture, smart terminals, and 'Beidou+' smart applications. The company launched several new items, from GNSS receivers and deformation monitoring devices based on its new M7 series high-precision modules to functional innovations in machine control and optical measurement. In the forum's global premiere selection, both its 'Beidou high-precision handheld series' and 'Beidou+visual AI fusion monitoring receiver project' were recognized.
China Unicom (600050.SH), under the theme 'Digital Spatiotemporal, Connected Future,' showcased its '5G+Beidou+AI' integrated innovations and scale applications in smart industries, low-altitude economy, and smart cities, focusing on positioning, navigation, timing, communication (PNTC), and satellite-ground fusion.
At the global premiere ceremony, China Telecom (601728.SH), in partnership with the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Aerospace Information Research Institute, unveiled a satellite-based wide-area high-precision positioning enhancement system combining Tiantong and Beidou technologies. Qihoo 360's (601360.SH) founder Zhou Hongyi emphasized that with AI's deepening penetration, 'large models and intelligent agents' are becoming the new paradigm for Beidou applications. As applications grow smarter, cybersecurity must evolve in tandem, entering an 'AI vs. AI' era. He stressed the need for equally intelligent AI and agents to detect vulnerabilities, counter automated attacks, and supervise intelligent agents in Beidou's scale deployment, echoing Qihoo's pioneering 'model-to-model' approach to governance.
Hunan firms demonstrate strength, with one underway for IPO: Several Hunan companies displayed their Beidou accomplishments. Changsha Jinwei Integrated Circuit Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'Jinwei Jidian') centered on its self-developed chips, showcasing Beidou-low-orbit satellite fusion communication capabilities and new space-economy scenarios. The company has developed satellite internet navigation enhancement and narrowband communication products, effectively integrating Beidou and low-orbit satellite communications at the chip and module level via its proprietary baseband SoC. Notably, Jinwei Jidian is currently in the IPO tutoring phase, with Haige Communications (002465.SZ) as its largest shareholder.
Haige Communications presented a complete 'Beidou chip-chain, communication-navigation integration' solution across multiple scenarios, highlighting new low-altitude communication-navigation fusion products, including self-organizing data links, 5G-satellite multi-mode fusion terminals, and lightweight high-trust antennas, ensuring reliable positioning in complex electromagnetic environments. These are paired with its self-developed low-altitude service platform for an end-to-end solution. The company noted active engagement with leading enterprises in Southeast Asia and neighboring regions, focusing on satellite communications, Beidou scale application, aerospace, AI, and high-end manufacturing, to accelerate overseas expansion and cross-border collaboration.
The Changsha Xiangjiang New Area delegation showcased a full industrial chain from 'chip to terminal to system to service.' Hunan Weidao Information Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'Weidao Information') presented its core product, a satellite navigation signal simulator, which creates a controllable 'virtual navigation constellation' indoors, reproducing various navigation satellite signals with high precision. In 2025, the company launched the world's first high-performance enhanced navigation test instrument integrating Beidou, GNSS, and satellite internet systems, simulating over 500 high- and low-orbit satellite signals, filling a critical technology gap in low-orbit navigation signal testing. Weidao Information is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Weiyu Tiandao. Currently, TransChip (920961.BJ) plans to acquire 100% of Weiyu Tiandao for 888 million yuan, a deal already approved by the Beijing Stock Exchange's M&A committee.
Additionally, as the provincial low-altitude economy implementation platform, Hunan Low-Altitude Economy Development Group organized multiple subsidiaries for the exhibition. One controlling subsidiary, Hunan Xinyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., focused on 'Beidou+drones,' displaying hydrogen-powered drones, Ark-series drones, water rescue drones, and inspection drones, along with scenario solutions across six sectors, including 'low-altitude+smart agriculture,' 'low-altitude+logistics,' and 'low-altitude+tourism,' covering 66 sub-scenarios.
