The 62-day summer travel support campaign has officially concluded, with Hulunbuir Airport handling more than 1.27 million passenger trips during this period.
According to the latest data, the airport processed 620,400 pieces of checked baggage during the summer season, marking year-on-year increases of 5.33% and 4.75% respectively.
Throughout the summer rush, Hulunbuir Airport maintained a strong safety focus, paying close attention to high-risk operations such as tarmac loading and flight weight distribution. The airport carried out hazard inspections and special rectification programs for outsourced units, addressing a total of 29 identified risks and recognizing 15 new potential danger sources, ultimately achieving a "zero accident" summer season.
Service quality saw continued improvements as well. The airport refined its closed-loop service procedures for special-needs passengers, introduced an expedited lane for time-sensitive travelers, and effectively managed unexpected situations including flight delays and diversions. Through case reviews and hands-on training, baggage-related complaints dropped by 62.5% year-on-year, leading to a noticeably better travel experience for passengers.
In addition, the airport actively expanded airline upgrade agency services, opening up new revenue channels beyond its core aviation operations.
Looking ahead, Hulunbuir Airport plans to review the lessons learned from the summer period, consolidate practical insights, and transform its peak-season handling capabilities into lasting management efficiency. The focus will remain on strengthening safety and service support to ensure smooth and secure journeys for all travelers.
