Shanxi Province Announces Green Factory List, Changzhi Secures Nine Spots

The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shanxi Province recently issued a notice unveiling the list of provincial-level green factories and green industrial parks for 2026, with a total of nine enterprises from Changzhi City making the cut.

The notice, titled "Notice on Announcing the 2026 Provincial-Level Green Factory and Green Industrial Park List," was addressed to the Municipal Bureaus of Industry and Information Technology and the Management Committee of Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone. In accordance with the "Implementation Rules for the Graded Cultivation and Management of Green Factories" and the "Notice on Recommending Provincial-Level Green Factories for 2026," the selection process involved voluntary applications from enterprises, recommendations from municipal-level industry authorities, expert reviews, consultations with relevant departments, and a public announcement period. Following these procedures, the 2026 list of green factories and green industrial parks in Shanxi Province has been finalized and is now officially published.

Key points of the notice include: First, 77 new green factories and 2 green industrial parks have been cultivated. Under the dynamic management requirements, and following verification by industry authorities in various regions, the Provincial Department has removed 2 previously designated green factories from the list. Second, local industry and information technology authorities are urged to strengthen inter-departmental coordination, summarize and promote advanced experiences and exemplary practices, and actively leverage green finance policies to support the construction of green factories.

The notice was issued by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shanxi Province on August 30, 2026. Attached to the notice are the 2026 Provincial-Level Green Factory List, the 2026 Provincial-Level Green Industrial Park List, and the list of green factories removed from the designation.
