On September 17, Hong Kong dollar interbank offered rates displayed a mixed performance, with the one-month rate, closely tied to mortgage lending, reversing its prior trend to settle at 2.90000%, a decrease of 5.000 basis points.
The three-month rate, which serves as a key indicator of bank funding costs, declined by 2.327 basis points to 3.10161%. Meanwhile, the overnight rate dipped 1.798 basis points to 2.17964%, and the one-week rate fell 4.363 basis points to 2.39804%.
In contrast, the two-week rate advanced by 6.923 basis points to 2.72042%, while the two-month rate slipped 1.423 basis points to 3.01470%.
Focusing on longer tenors, the six-month rate climbed 5.691 basis points to 3.40691%, and the one-year rate also rose by 5.691 basis points, reaching 3.80691%.
