Sichuan Biokin's Subsidiary to Invest $5 Million in Oncology Drug Developer Connexus Therapeutics

Sichuan Biokin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (688506.SH) has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Pangu Capital, plans to subscribe for 3.881 million Series A preferred shares of Connexus Therapeutics for $5 million. Upon completion of this capital increase, the company will hold a 7.91% equity stake in Connexus.

Connexus is an innovative drug developer focused on the discovery of small-molecule therapeutics for oncology, with all of its pipeline candidates currently in preclinical development stages. The transaction is designed to make Connexus an associate company of Sichuan Biokin, thereby broadening the company's footprint in frontier technology areas beyond its existing platforms, including the innovative ADC drug development platform (HIRE-ADC), the innovative multispecific antibody platform (GNC), the specific enhanced bispecific antibody platform (SEBA), and the innovative ARC radiopharmaceutical development platform (HIRE-ARC), while supplementing its overall technology matrix.
