According to the Ministry of Commerce's official website, the fourth annual "National 15-Minute Community Convenience Service Month" will be held from October 1 to October 31. The initiative is themed "Convenient services into communities, warm hearts through a better life" and will follow the approach of "government platforms, business participation, multi-party collaboration, and resident benefits."
The campaign will mobilize all national and provincial pilot areas for 15-minute community convenience life circles, as well as pilot zones advancing comprehensive coverage, to take proactive action. Aligning with the broader "Shopping in China" series of events, and integrating key initiatives such as the service consumption season and the retail innovation upgrade project, the event will leverage holidays like National Day and the Double Ninth Festival, along with seasonal opportunities, to prioritize services for the elderly and young children. Participating regions will independently determine activity content and timing, adopting diverse locally-tailored approaches to deliver a wide range of convenience services. The goal is to engage various stakeholders by enriching supply, innovating scenarios, and enhancing experiences, thereby further facilitating residents' daily lives and fostering a harmonious business-community atmosphere.
The initiative highlights six key priorities: promoting services for the elderly and children in communities, introducing time-honored brands into communities, bringing catering services to communities, bringing promotional sales activities to communities, encouraging green consumption in communities, and facilitating convenience services and public welfare activities in communities. According to requirements, local commerce authorities are expected to carefully plan and coordinate resources, organize community convenience service month activities suited to local conditions, and may extend the activity period as appropriate. They should also engage industry associations, businesses, banking institutions, and China UnionPay for broad participation, while strengthening publicity through television, print, and online media. National and provincial pilot areas, along with zones advancing comprehensive coverage, are asked to thoroughly plan and meticulously organize the 37 key supporting activities. During the event, coordinated efforts with relevant departments will be made to strengthen market order, food safety, and environmental sanitation management to ensure safe and orderly operations.
