Sichuan Secures Multiple Spots on First National Emerging Industry Demonstration Bases List
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently unveiled the inaugural list of national emerging industry demonstration base creation targets, featuring 21 park-level and 112 enterprise-level selections nationwide. Among them, Sichuan secured 2 parks and 9 enterprises. In the demonstration park category, the honorees from Sichuan include the Chengdu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in the biomanufacturing sector and the Chengdu Qingyang Economic Development Zone in the low-altitude equipment field. For demonstration enterprises, 9 companies from Sichuan made the cut, including Sichuan Kelun-Biotech Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Chengdu Kanghong Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., and Chengdu Aircraft Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. The 5th Chengdu-Chongqing Food Industry Expo recently kicked off at the China Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park in Xinjin District, Chengdu. Under the theme "Gathering Flavors in Bashu, Linking the Future with Taste," the expo showcases hundreds of hit products from the Sichuan-Chongqing culinary scene. With shared mountains and rivers and a common gastronomic heritage, the Sichuan and Chongqing exhibition zones highlight traditional regional delicacies, geographical indication specialty foods, and various health-focused products from both areas. During the event, 20 supply-demand matchmaking sessions, including a Sichuan-Chongqing prepared food industry procurement fair, will be held to help local food enterprises expand markets and boost consumption. Nagoya Asian Games Open with Zou Jingyuan and Wu Yanni Leading the Sichuan Squad
On September 19th, the opening ceremony of the Nagoya Asian Games took place at Mizuho Stadium in Nagoya, Japan. The Chinese delegation for this edition comprises 1,274 members, including 815 athletes (404 women and 411 men), competing across 38 sports and 369 events. Sichuan has 61 members selected for the Chinese delegation, with athletes set to compete in 19 sports and 32 events. This figure sets a new historical record for Sichuan's participation in the Asian Games, surpassing the 55 members sent to the 2023 Hangzhou Games. CET Registration Begins Today Across the Province
From 12:00 today until 17:00 on September 28th, registration for the second half of 2026 National College English Test (CET), including both oral and written components, will open in Sichuan. Candidates are advised to log onto the official CET registration website (http://cet-bm.neea.edu.cn) during their school's designated registration window, complete the necessary information, and process payment online. (1) Oral Test: The CET-SET4 and CET-SET6 oral exams are scheduled for November 21st and November 22nd, 2026, respectively, with specific session times listed below.

Chengdu Releases AI-Generated Advertising Compliance Guidelines: Mandatory "Advertisement" Label
The Chengdu Municipal Market Supervision Administration has recently issued the "AI-Generated Advertising Compliance Guidelines" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guidelines"). Designed with a people-centric approach, the Guidelines aim to both sharpen consumers' ability to spot AI-driven deception and clarify the boundaries of lawful operations for businesses. Notably, this is the first advertising compliance guideline specifically targeting the AI sector in central and western China. As a concrete step toward regulating internet advertising order, the document serves two key purposes: first, it identifies compliance risks associated with AI-generated ads and offers clearer behavioral guidance for various market operators; second, it safeguards consumer rights through a negative list and strengthened accountability for responsible parties. Additionally, the Guidelines promote the safe and compliant application of AI technology in advertising, effectively empowering the high-quality development of the industry.
