Guotai Grain Industry ETF Feeder Fund Extends Subscription Period to October 9

The count of newly launched funds in 2026 has reached 1,416, just 89 short of the total for all of 2025. On a monthly basis, 181 funds were launched in August, and as of now in September, 152 have been issued with an average offering size of 488 million units.

Despite the impressive number of new launches, the fundraising landscape reveals a distinct "uneven distribution" between hot and cold products. According to Wind data, 31 funds adjusted their subscription periods over the past week (September 11 to September 18). Among these, only 5 wrapped up their fundraising ahead of schedule, while the remainder opted to extend, with 5 pushing their subscription deadlines directly into October.

In terms of adjustment types, the extended funds span multiple categories including passive index funds, mixed FOFs, equity-oriented hybrid funds, and enhanced index funds. Notably, passive index funds have become the hardest hit by postponements, with 17 products—including the Huatai-PineBridge ChiNext Fintech ETF, the Yongying Guozheng Grain Industry ETF, and the Industrial SSE STAR Market AI ETF—all declaring extensions.

Despite rapid rotation among market hotspots, investor appetite for specific themes remains tepid. Recognition varies significantly across niche sector products, and while some popular themes attract high attention, actual fundraising still requires more time. Meanwhile, traditional cyclical themes such as grain and non-ferrous metals are facing even greater fundraising pressure.

Specifically, the Guotai Guozheng Grain Industry ETF Feeder Fund A (028824.OF) under Guotai Fund announced on September 16 that its subscription period has been adjusted to run from September 1, 2026, to October 9, 2026. Managed by Peng Yue, the fund had originally been scheduled to conclude its offering on September 23.
