A series of significant corporate announcements have emerged from the Hong Kong stock market, highlighting major moves across infrastructure, manufacturing, and aviation sectors.

In major developments, MTR CORPORATION (00066) has formally accepted the land premium offer of HK$10.5 billion for the Tuen Mun Area 16 Station Phase 2 project, with the premium eligible for full deduction against development costs. Meanwhile, LENS (06613) plans to contribute RMB 200 million to establish a fund alongside professional investment institutions.

On the manufacturing front, TIANGONG INT'L (00826)'s subsidiary intends to invest in Henan Zuoneng Precision Engineering, accelerating its entry into the PCB drill bit and other precision tooling product markets for PCB processing. Additionally, a subsidiary of Dintek Gaoke (01377) plans to invest in building the Dintek Xin Advanced New Materials Manufacturing Base project. Jixin Guokong (08629) has entered into an investment agreement with Xinyi City Investment Promotion Bureau regarding the establishment of an inspection and testing centre. CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX TECHNOLOGY (03750)'s subsidiary plans to participate in investing in the Xiamen Times Shenyuan Venture Capital Fund Partnership (Limited Partnership).

Turning to operating results, CHINA RES LAND (01109) recorded total contracted sales of approximately RMB 18.5 billion in August, representing a year-on-year increase of 40.2%. Metallurgical Corporation of China (01618) secured new contracts worth RMB 478.79 billion in the first eight months of the year. Air China (00753) saw passenger turnover rise 11.3% year-on-year in August, while China Eastern Airlines (00670) reported a 6.69% increase in passenger turnover. China Southern Airlines (01055) recorded a 3.61% rise in passenger capacity input for the month. Lastly, China Shenhua Energy (01088) produced 44.1 million tonnes of commercial coal in August, up 0.7% from the same period last year.
