Saudi Aramco has notified at least two European refining customers that it will not allocate crude oil for next month, according to people familiar with the matter.

The move comes after an attack on the kingdom's key pipeline to the Red Sea prompted the suspension, disrupting supply schedules for buyers who typically receive steady monthly shipments under long-term contracts.

The affected deliveries will be paused for the upcoming month, said the sources, who requested anonymity because the information has not been publicly disclosed. The arrangement applies to all European purchasers, they added.

Saudi Aramco has not yet responded to requests for comment on the situation.

Last week, the East-West pipeline was forced to shut down following a drone strike. According to one source speaking on Wednesday, the pipeline is expected to partially resume operations within days, with a full return to service anticipated within six weeks.

European refineries typically collect Saudi crude from the Sidi Kerir port on Egypt's Mediterranean coast, which is linked to the Red Sea via pipeline infrastructure.
