Jiangsu Expressway (SHA:600377, HKG:0177) controlling shareholder Jiangsu Communications and its parties increased its shareholding by purchasing 49.9 million company shares on the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
Following the purchase, Jiangsu Communications' holdings rose to 58% from 57.01%, the filing said.
The expressway operator's Hong Kong shares rose 1% during the midday break.
