BKV Closes Acquisition of Certain Barnett Shale Assets

BKV (BKV) said late Tuesday it closed the acquisition of certain Barnett Shale upstream, midstream, and carbon capture and sequestration assets.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition is expected to expand the company's Barnett gas volumes available to serve demand in Dallas-Fort Worth and the Gulf Coast, according to the company.
The deal comprises more than 65 million cubic feet of natural gas equivalent per day of production, around 0.35 trillion cubic feet of natural gas equivalent of proved developed producing reserves, about 1,000 gross operated wells, and about 117,000 net acres, primarily in Montague County, Texas, the company added.
