Singapore Shares Open Higher Ahead of Fed Decision

Singapore shares edged up at the open on Wednesday, as investors eye the US Federal Reserve's decision on interest rates later in the day.
The Straits Times Index opened 8.48 points, or 0.15%, higher at 5,647.120.
The US Fed is widely expected to raise interest rates by at least 25 basis points to 4.0% following the end of its two-day meeting on Wednesday.
