Resonac, Nitto Denko Invest in Silicon Valley Fund for Hardware Technology Startups

Resonac (TYO:4004), Nitto Denko (TYO:6988) and Sojitz (TYO:2768) have invested in Matter Venture Partners' second fund, which closed at $450 million to back early-stage HardTech startups.
The fund will invest in startups spanning semiconductors, robotics and physical AI, AI infrastructure, quantum computing, and advanced manufacturing, among other areas.
Other strategic limited partners include ASML, Development Bank of Japan, Kleiner Perkins, Quanta Computer (TPE:2382) and TSMC (TPE:2330), according to a statement on Wednesday.
Matter Venture Partners is a Silicon Valley venture capital firm that invests in early-stage hardware technology startups.
