The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) fell 1.1%.
In corporate news, Eli Lilly (LLY) said Friday that the US Food and Drug Administration has approved Inluriyo in combination with Verzenio for breast cancer. Lilly shares were fractionally higher.
